INQUIRY - JOCKEY ANTHONY DELPECH

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 6 February 2018, Jockey Anthony Delpech was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of ROOT BEER he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to HIROHITO between the 350m and 200m marks in Race 4 at Scottsville Racecourse on 14 January 2018. 

Jockey Delpech pleaded not guilty to the charge. 

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Delpech guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days.

Jockey Delpech has the right of appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
