The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 22 June 2018, Jockey Robert Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of JUST CHAOS he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners passing the 200m in Race 8 at  Fairview Racecourse on 8 June 2018.

Due to some uncertainty on what plea to enter to the charge, the Inquiry Board entered a plea of not guilty on Jockey Khathi’s behalf.

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Khathi guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a warning.

Jockey Khathi has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
