INQUIRY – JOCKEY SANDILE KHATHI

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 5 September 2018, Jockey Sandile Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 56.2.4 in that on 31 August 2018, Jockey Khathi took into and used a cellular telephone whilst inside the Jockey’s quarters at Fairview Racecourse. 

 Jockey Khathi pleaded guilty to the charge.

  The Inquiry Board found Jockey Khathi guilty and imposed a penalty of a fine of R5000. 

Jockey Khathi has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
