The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in the Stipendiary Stewards Boardroom at the Vaal Racecourse on Thursday, 2 May 2019, Jockey Raymond Danielson was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of ROAD TO DUBAI, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners shortly before the finish in Race 7, at the Borrowdale Racecourse on 24 March 2019.
Jockey Danielson pleaded guilty to the charge.
The inquiry Board found Jockey Danielson guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days, which is wholly suspended for a period of three months, on condition that he is not found guilty of a contravention of this Rule during that period.
Jockey Danielson has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
