To all trainers and veterinarians,

To all trainers
Trainers are kindly reminded of the important requirements around medication control and record-keeping in your stables, particularly the correct labelling of medications and daily entries into the Veterinary Treatment Register (VTR).
To all trainers
Trainers are kindly reminded to prioritize effective post-race cooling and hydration of horses in the interests of both horse welfare and public perception. This is particularly important on hot days and for placed horses standing in front of the grandstand.
To all trainers
We would like to highlight crucial information from the NHA Laboratory concerning the detection of sub-therapeutic concentrations of anti-inflammatories in both race day and out-of-competition specimens. Our recent screening analysis has revealed a significant increase in the detection of anti-inflammatories, specifically MELOXICAM, FLUNIXIN, AND FLUMETHASONE, over the past few months compared to other times of the year. It is important to note that these levels remain below the thresholds established by both the NHA and IFHA and are therefore not enforceable at this time.
To all trainers and equine veterinarians
The NHA has adopted new Rules and amended others, relating to IFHA Prohibited Practices in line with its commitment to international harmonisation of the rules of racing and in the best interests of horse welfare.
