Inquiry – Jockey Serino Moodley

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 1 October 2019, Jockey Serino Moodley was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of KING OF SAMASH, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners at approximately the 1300m in Race 7 at the Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 15 September 2019.

Jockey Moodley pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Moodley guilty and imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days.

Jockey Moodley has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
