The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms a reported Prohibited Substance finding. 

The presence of Flunixin (Class 4) was disclosed upon analysis of a specimen taken from MITREDAT prior to the running of Race 3, at Fairview Racecourse on 22 April 2025.  The Trainer responsible, Mr L Gila, has been advised and has waived his rights to send the reference specimen for confirmatory analysis.  

An Inquiry will be held into the presence of the prohibited substance in due course.
