The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 22 August 2023, Jockey J Gates was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7. The particulars being that whilst riding MIX THE MAGIC, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SIMPLY MAGIC and GIMME THE FLAME when he shifted out at the 100m in Race 9 at Turffontein Racecourse on 12 August 2023.

The particulars being that he rode TRUE TROJAN in an unprofessional manner by striking Apprentice M Katjedi (PLAYER X) with his crop on the upper part of his body on one occasion in the concluding stages in Race 4 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 19 July 2023.

The particulars being that as the rider of BOWIE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BACK TO BLACK at the 1200m, in Race 3 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 26 July 2023.
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Friday 28 July 2023, Jockey Devin Ashby was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3. The particulars being that he failed to ride JOSI MO out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of
the Stipendiary Stewards and prejudiced his chances of obtaining third place in Race 1 at Fairview Racecourse on 21 July 2023.
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 12 July 2023, Jockey C Habib was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7. The particulars being that whilst riding PRIMROSE PATH, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to IDEAL HEART (*M K Katjedi) and SHAMPIMPI (G Lerena) when he shifted in at approximately the 1300m in Race 1 at Turffontein Racecourse on 2 July 2023.
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on Tuesday, 20 June 2023, Trainer Gareth van Zyl was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.1. The particulars being that he failed to present the passport of VIBE SA to a Stipendiary Steward not later than 60 minutes before the official starting time of Race 1 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 27 May 2023.
The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 21 June 2023, Jockey R Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7. The particulars being that whilst riding LUCKY LAD, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to EGYPTIAN MAU (C Zackey) and THE AFRICA HOUSE (S Khumalo) in Race 6, GOLD MEDALLION (Grade 1) at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 3 June 2023.

The particulars being that he misused his crop by striking SILVER CLOCK more than twelve times in the entire race during Race 4 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 31 May 2023.
